Where you been?
Moved domiciles in the last week and am loving the new place and neighbors.
I won’t say in my log where the new place is because, again, I have had my identity stolen and used for fraudulent purposes.
So we are trying to keep stuff as private as possible. Which is impossible with the internet and some lose dough at your disposal.
The new place is really cool, big back yard, nice fence (not the fuck my neighbors privacy kind, but the kind where if you are outside you don’t want to do anything that you wouldn’t anyone else to see), some sky-lights, finished basement, new roof and a dog door big enough for a Mack truck.
I still don’t know my own phone number yet and am having trouble gauging the time it takes to arrive at work.
New subject (don’t worry I’ll keep it as incoherent and as unfocused as usual).
I was asked today how I ended up so far on the left by a good friend today who exists on the right and middle. I respect him so I tried to answer the best I could. My answer went something like this, “When I was in the third or fourth grade Mondale was taking on Reagan for president. I was in charge of putting together buttons and fliers, craft paper and crayons. And all I remember is that my platform for supporting Mondale was that Reagan wanted to blow up nuclear weapons in space. Out of the 36 of us in class there were a total of two votes for Mondale.”
Maybe I just like to lose. Maybe it was reading the political cartoons in the paper, The News Tribune, as an impressionable grade schooler.
All I know is that my whole life I have disliked money hungry prospering folks who only look out for their own interests. I believe most of these people are on the right and are republicans. But Michael Moore is helping to destroy this vision. His profiteering in the name of liberalism is no more palatable to me than that of Jim Baker, Rush Limbaugh or Jimmy Swaggert. All of which using some dogma to preach and in the end, or middle for that matter, these men went astray. Happens to the best of us I guess.
